More Song of Spear and Shield

Got another excellent game of Song of Spear and Shield in today. Another Crusader vs Sacacen thing. Georges Crusaders, using the following army list, again cut n paist to the army builder...

Crusaders were on the attack, I got the terrain down, George moved a hill, we set up, I started off spreading out, using the benifit of a musican that doubled my command range. A turn of bad turn overs had the thinking it was another game like last week, but next turn got moving and I was happy so see I got the first kill using a bunch shot, The knights charge in supported by the crossbow men and chew up the lancers, but the horse bow chew them up also, the last turn was a desperate exchange to land the final blow, with the Saracens taking the win by taking out another knight and more crossbowmen, Game endedwith the Crusaders breaking and the Saracens shaken. Used the horse bow right this time. Picking off the crusader knights one at a time. We talked about something more that 800 points next time. The games are going fast, about a hour of actual game play each time. But we did forget to use heroic action this time. Ans again no fall backs, once we get "stuck in" its a fight to the finish.
